Aim
The course is one element in the development of mathematical competence and knowledge of students in the Engineering physics programme.
Learning outcomes (after completion of the course the student should be able to)
- describe basic concepts in linear algebra and geometri
- describe connections between the various concepts
- apply the knowledge about various concepts in problem solving.
Content
Systems of linear equations, vectors, lines and planes, geometry in the plane and in space, R^n, matrices, linear mappings, determinants, complex numbers.
Organisation
Lectures and exersice classes.
