Aim

The aim of the course is to provide knowledge of and skills in handling radar, ARPA and AIS features to avoid collisions.

Learning outcomes (after completion of the course the student should be able to)

- Apply the COLREG by identify, analyse and act in traffic situations
- Describe ARPA function and its limitations
- Evaluate radar targets in relative and true motion
