Aim
The course aims to give the student basic competence to handle traffis situations at sea and avoid collision.Learning outcomes (after completion of the course the student should be able to)
- Apply the COLREGS by identify, analyse and act in traffic situations in open sea- Describe ARPA function and its limitations
- Describe and compare information from visual observations, radar observations and AIS information
- Evaluate radar targets in relative and true motion
- Use logbooks for navigation
