Aim
The course will give students basic knowledge of and skills in surface modeling and visualization in a CAD - System.
Learning outcomes (after completion of the course the student should be able to)
- Apply and demonstrate basic skills in 3D modeling in CAID - systems
- Apply and demonstrate basic skills in visualization CAID - systems
- Create, evaluate and propose and implement changes where individual elements of a CAID system in a structured way.
Content
Lectures and computer exercises will be integrated in the computer room.
CAID - System, like Autodesk Alias Automotive, is used in education.
The course concludes with an independent project where the student chooses a product within a reasonable degree of difficulty and plan, modelling, visualize and present.
Organisation
This course will be based on partly scheduled, supervised tutoring and practical exercises linked to other courses. Theory and practical exercises will be mixed
Literature
Will be selected at start of the course.
Examination including compulsory elements
An active participation in class in addition to concluded and reported projects, specified in the course and a small exam.
The course examiner may assess individual students in other ways than what is stated above if there are special reasons for doing so, for example if a student has a decision from Chalmers on educational support due to disability.
