Aim

The aim with the course is to give the student basic knowledge of ports and distribution nodes management, organisation and operation. The student will after concluded course have increased the knowledge of ports/distribution nodes infrastructure and logistics and the need of adequate security. Further the student will increase the awareness of how ports and distribution nodes can contribute to the sustainable development goals.

Learning outcomes (after completion of the course the student should be able to)

- Explain port management, organisation and operations. - Explain ports' and distribution nodes' infrastructure and logistics (berths, storage, handling, documentation etc) - Explain port security - Explain ports' and distribution nodes' contribution to UN's sustainable development goals (no.9)
