The aim of the course is to attain basic knowledge of drawing technique and about computer based methods to describe three dimensional objects. The course is of very central importance for a machine engineer as all existing and new products require a description of the geometry.Learning outcomes (after completion of the course the student should be able to)
After completion of this course the student will have skills in:
- basic layout of drawings as views, cross sections, simplified representation of objects.
- linear tolerances and fits.
- surface finish and welding symbols.
- reading drawings.
- create CAD-models and see the possibilities by the use of a modern CAD-program.
