Aim
Industrial economics aims to build e bridge between technology and economics/management in industrial companies. The purpose of this class is to present and create understanding for foundational terminology and models used for management and distribution of scarce resources within industrial companies.Learning outcomes (after completion of the course the student should be able to)
- Being able to use foundational terminology within managerial economics
- Apply foundational models within budgeting, product calculation and investment calculation
- Choose appropriate relevant model in various situations
- Being able to communicate relevant information in a correct and functional way in academic reports
- Being able to receive and formulate text critics in a meaningful way

- Introduction to economic analysis
- Cashflow- income- and balance sheet budgeting and how they are interrelated
- Foundation product calculation and handling of indirect costs
- Capital budgeting and time value of money
- Foundational knowledge in excel
- Science, language and communication
Organisation
- Lectures and exercises, supported by scheduled consultations
- Mandatory guest lectures with individual reflections
