To deepen students' knowledge and ability to generally lead individuals and groups, especially classroom leadership. To show ability to analyze, develop and evaluate processes to create a good culture within an organization so that all employees and/or students can reach their full potential.Learning outcomes (after completion of the course the student should be able to)
After completing the course students will be able to:- explain and give examples of the complexity of leadership and explain the connections between being a leader and being follower.
- demonstrate and understand your own strengths weaknesses so that you can lead yourself as well as other individuals or groups.
- use constructive criticism and provide feedback to yourself and to others
- identify and describe different kinds of prejudices.
- describe and identify emerging conflicts, and suggest positive solutions.
- apply and work with ethical aspects based on social psychology and communication theories to understand phenomena such as bullying, favoritism, diversity and power.
- identify, respond and manage resistance where gender equality policy goals are included
- leading equal and inclusive with regard to equality and gender
- use processes and tools such as supervision groups, communication and conflict resolution

Organisation
The course is designed as full-day workshops led by different experts from academia and workplaces. Each workshop consists of a blend of: - short lectures - collective reflection and discussions in smaller groups - practice-oriented exercises. After some workshops students are expected to do reflections or a mandatory group task with a written group submission.Literature

Examination including compulsory elements
Examination takes place through an individual written digital exam corresponding to 4.5 credits (60%). Continuous assessment of individual reflection assignments, as well as group assignments during the course corresponding to 3.0 credits (40%). In order to pass the course, 75% mandatory attendance during the seminars is also required.The course examiner may assess individual students in other ways than what is stated above if there are special reasons for doing so, for example if a student has a decision from Chalmers on educational support due to disability.
