The aim of the course is to give a fundamental understanding of central metabolic pathways and their regulation. In addition, students learn methods that are utilized in modern molecular biology and enzyme technology, and for studies of biological macromolecules like RNA and proteins. Together with KTK111, UCM010 and BBT035 the course gives prerequisite knowledge for following courses given in MPBIOLearning outcomes (after completion of the course the student should be able to)
