The aim of the course is to:- develop knowledge about matter and space, species and distinctions
- develop an ability in a design process to be inspired of the interplay between matter and space
- deepen an artistic attitude where projects are guided through experiments in combination with analysis, association, searching and opposite approaches
Learning outcomes (after completion of the course the student should be able to)
- Identify and characterize/describe architectural qualities like the space and shape, movement and direction, dimensions of a surface, and experienced qualities related to the light (color), heat and sound, force and balance, air and water, etc. - By use of examples show how a project can be developed through analytical sketching, construction of concept models, and an artistic approach. - Demonstrate skill and precision in execution and presentation of a task. - Describe and explain an artistic processContent

The course is structured around a series of workshops in which various aspects of the design of architectural space and structure are examined. Central to these training workshops is to develop a project through analytical sketching, construction of concept models and an artistic approach. The course supports and develops the architectural design projects of the education.Literature
