Research in railway mechanics its path decrease the life cycle costs of railways, and to decrease the environmental footprint of the railway.
The research topics are formulated in cooperation within the industry within the National Centre of Excellence in Railway Mechanics CHARMEC.
Current research topics mainly focus around phenomena caused by the contact between wheel and rail.
