The Geomechanics lab of ACE works on the experimental study of hydro-mechanical behaviour of geomaterials from soft soil to rock. Some of our main activities involve in the study of the complex behaviour of sensitive soils, commonly found in Scandinavia.
The laboratory is equipped with two climate rooms, operating at 7°C, for testing of natural soil in the mean soil temperature in Sweden.
The lab accepts internal booking of its equipment by the corresponding booking system of ACE (ACE lims) and external testing is possible after early notification of the responsible personnel.
