Professor Madhavi Srinivasan appointed WISE guest professor

Professor Madhavi Srinivasan, Nanyang Technical University, Singapore, has been appointed Wallenberg Initiative Material Science for Sustainability, WISE guest professor. She will be associated with Chalmers University of Technology and hosted by Professor Leif Asp at the Department of Industrial and Materials Science.

Professor Srinivasan is a renowned academic whose research focuses on the circular economy. She had worked extensively on research initiatives with battery industry leaders and helps advise on public policies for energy and sustainability in Singapore and around the world.

Professor Madhavi Srinivasan is the overall Principal investigator, PI, for the Energy Storage teams at Energy Storage and Hydrogen & Fuel Cells, NTU-MSE and SCARCE labs. She is also the director of the NTU Sustainability Office and the Global Alliance of Industries, NTU (GAIN) under the NTU President's Office.

She has published more than 350 scientific papers. Currently, her work is focused on:
1. Next-gen Li ion batteries (high-energy nanostructured electrodes)
2. Beyond-Li technologies (solid batteries / aqueous multivalent batteries)
3. Recycling protocols for heavy e-waste volumes
4. Large-format energy storage devices (18650, pouch, etc.)
