Anyone who has travelled around Gothenburg and Chalmers may have noticed the green boxes. They record the wildlife in the city. All other sounds are filtered out. Ahmed Eldesoky, a postdoctoral researcher in urban planning, is part of the team conducting the study.

Podcast. In dense cities, people are more stressed than in sparse ones. But small green spaces are enough to slow down the pulse, provided they are numerous and have a certain biological diversity. Healthy green spaces are also a cost-effective way to tackle climate change.

In the podcast Verapodden, you will meet Ahmed Eldesoky, postdoc in Urban Planning, and Meta Berghauser Pont, Professor of Urban Morphology and Urban Planning, who believe that it is possible to combine the dense with the green if you dare to think in new ways.
