"It is great to see that the industry and the students appreciate the event and are actively participating. Through the master thesis fair, we create opportunities for our talented and capable students who are eager to work on real-world problems," says Sonia Yeh, Professor of Transport and Energy Systems and Vice Director, Chalmers Energy Area of Advance.
After last year's success, the Master Thesis Fair Energy was organised for the second time. Nearly 40 companies and 300 students mingled and discussed thesis ideas in the Chalmers student union building on 10 October 2023.
Many contacts were made. The students got the chance to meet representatives from the companies to discuss thesis work and get a slightly clearer picture of what it means.
"The industry also benefits from taking advantage of highly skilled students who has learned cutting-edge techniques and knowledge to help companies solve their problems. Together we aim to bring innovation, creativity, and sustainability solutions through this event.," says Sonia Yeh.
Among the companies present to scout the talents of the future were Volvo Cars, Ericsson, Preem, Telia, Chalmers Industriteknik, Fortum, IVL, Meva Energy and RISE.
After the fair, the participating companies were given a tour of various energy projects that are ongoing around the campus, with visits to the Chalmers Power Central, the innovative office building A Working Lab and Johanneberg Science Park. The day ended with a joint dinner.
