Do you have an interest in an interdisciplinary subject area that describes the relationships between a solid material's composition, structure, properties and performance, and how these relationships may be controlled through different parameters in the fabrication process? Then you may apply to a doctoral student position within the graduate school in of Materials Science when you have received your master's degree.
As a doctoral student you will develop an understanding of the relationship between a material’s composition and structure, and learn how the structure controls the properties of the material. Within the doctoral program in Materials Science, you will explore the scientific basis of the development of materials for advanced applications in modern technology. Read more in the study plan.
The graduate school in Materials Science is a cross-departmental graduate school with doctoral students at:
- Physics (host department)
- Chemistry and Chemical Engineering
- Industrial and Materials Science
