The Wallenberg Scholar program focuses on Sweden’s leading senior researchers. Eight researchers at Chalmers are included in the program.
The Wallenberg Scholars program was implemented to give researchers long-term funding without the distraction of pressure to secure external grants in order to carry out world-class research.
The grant can be freely used for research for five years with no restrictions. After the end of the grant period, the research is evaluated by an international panel of experts, and the best researchers are awarded a further five-year grant.
