Swedish National Data Service and Researchdata.se

Swedish National Data Service (SND) is a national research infrastructure that provides support and services for research data management. SND helps researchers make digital research data accessible and reusable while offering guidance on data management throughout the research process.

SND’s services and support

SND provides resources and expertise to:
Find research data – by making high-quality research data available for reuse across a wide range of scientific disciplines.
Describe, publish, and share research data – researchers can use SND’s services to describe and publish research data in a structured manner.
Manage and preserve research data – SND offers support for long-term and sustainable management of research data, from collection to archiving.

SND’s activities contribute to advancing Open Science and ensuring that publicly funded research data are made accessible “as open as possible, as restricted as necessary.” SND is primarily funded by the Swedish Research Council (VR) and a consortium of nine of Sweden’s largest universities, which oversee its operations. In addition, SND brings together a majority of Sweden’s higher education institutions in a national network focused on Open Science.

Researchdata.se – a national portal for research data

Researchdata.se is a national web portal where researchers can find, share, and reuse research data. The portal is operated by SND in collaboration with several other national research infrastructures. The aim of Researchdata.se is to simplify the search for and management of research data in a standardized way, while facilitating improved collaboration between researchers and research infrastructures.

Through Researchdata.se, researchers gain access to:

An advanced search service for research data from multiple national and international sources.

Tools and resources to support sustainable data management.

A collaboration platform where research infrastructures and organizations can work together on Open Science.
