The vision of The AI and Global Development Lab is to combine AI and earth observation to analyse the causes and consequences of human development historically, geographically, and globally thereby enhancing research on sustainability.
The Lab consists of computer scientist (data science and AI) and social scientist (mainly sociologists, economists, and political scientist). As such, the Lab develops new methods solving challenges in development research and works on substantive issues in human development (e.g., poverty, sustainability, aid interventions).
The group is led by Adel Daoud. More information about the research group can be found on the external research group page.
