The Department of Communication and Learning in Science consists of five divisions. Two academic divisions, two library divisions – as the library belongs to CLS – and one operational support division. Read more about what they do here.
Language and communication
Today’s engineers need to be able to communicate with different people in different contexts. We ensure that communication and group dynamics are integrated in a way that reinforces the learning of the subject and that the integration is supported by science and proven experience.
Engineering Education Research
A developing society requires education to develop. Our task is to meet that need and create the necessary framework for a culture of academic learning. We conduct research and education with a focus on teaching and learning in higher technical and science education.
Learning and learning environments
Chalmers’ library serves as an open and shared space for the entire university – both physically and digitally – where we provide relevant academic services to students and teachers as well as doctoral students, researchers, and management.
Information resources and scientific publishing
Our role at Chalmers is to acquire and make available relevant information resources and provide research support and analysis of the university’s academic activities.
Operational support
CLS’s local operational support provides professional and effective support to the department’s activities and management. We make it possible for activities to develop in the best possible way according to the set framework. We endeavour to find good solutions to the issues and tasks we face by taking a sensitive and exploratory approach.
