Abstract: In this project, we present a numerical library for the simulation of continuous-variable circuits that incorporate both Gaussian and non-Gaussian elements, as well as Gaussian noise channels. The library pairs the sum-of-Gaussian methods in strawberryfields with new developments in state representation, namely that arbitrary superpositions of Fock states can be approximated by superposition of coherent states on a small ring in phase space [Marshall and Anand (2023)]. Our simulation package provides a fast alternative to photon number basis simulations of multi-mode mixed states. The utility of the package is demonstrated with a couple of use-cases, namely i) optimisation of circuits for optical GKP preparation, ii) simulation of noisy squeezed cat breeding.
