The Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology and the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience at Chalmers invite the general public to an Open House.
Welcome to Chalmers to visit our laboratories focused on quantum technologies and quantum computers!
Overview
- Date:Starts 4 April 2025, 17:00Ends 4 April 2025, 20:00
- Location:Kemivägen 9, Chalmers
- Language:Swedish and English
We will talk about and showcase quantum technology. At Chalmers, we develop and manufacture both quantum computer processors and the components needed to build a quantum computer. We will also discuss how these components communicate with each other. Additionally, we conduct basic research on quantum sensors and explore how large objects can be better described by quantum physics than classical physics. We will provide a brief introduction followed by a tour of our laboratories.
Participants:
- Johan Veiga Benesch, Dr.
- Paul Nicaise, Postdoc
- Awse SA Salha, PhD student
- Mads Bjerregaard Kristensen, Postdoc
- Trond Haug, PhD student
- Seyedalireza Hashemi, PhD student
- All participants are from the Division of Quantum Technology, Chalmers.
Program:
- We open the reception at 16:30.
- 17:00 Introduction to quantum technology with a Q&A session in the lecture hall Kollektorn at MC2.
- 17:30 Lab visits begin. We will showcase 5 different laboratories within the division of quantum technology at MC2 and the quantum technology testbed.
- 19:30 Coffee break with researchers, posters, and possible demos in Canyon at MC2.
- 20:00 End of the visit.
The introduction is in Swedish. The lab visits are mixed in Swedish and English depending on who receives you.
