Abstract:

Concurrent engineering emphasizes collaboration and knowledge transfer in product development and manufacturing processes. The 3D-Experience platform by Dassault Systèmes aims to implement concurrent engineering principles, enabling real-time collaboration among designers using different software. This thesis focuses on studying the 3D-Experience platform's collaboration features and its potential in integrating equipment design, robot reachability and simulation, and factory flow disciplines. The goal is to contribute insights to the manufacturing industry for more efficient and collaborative processes.
