Welcome to the workshop New Avenues in Quantum Materials, which will take place at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, 29-31 August 2024.
In this meeting we will discuss new promising avenues for research into quantum materials. The presentations will be at the crossroad between fundamental materials properties and possible usefulness of these materials in the broad area of quantum technology, including improved sensors, efficient energy consumption, and quantum computing.
This conference is the third in a series of meetings within an emerging research community in the Baltic region that started as the Baltic Consortium of Theoretical Physics. As part of this effort, we intend to also discuss possible future directions and future yearly meetings.
