Energy Area of Advance

Gathers industry, authorities, and academia to create consensus on long-term challenges and to jointly find solutions for the future.

The radical change in the global energy systems towards a sustainable future is the biggest challenge, as well as opportunity, of our generation. The Energy Area of Advance directs its research, education and innovation activities to address the challenges presented to industry, government, and society.

We build internal and external liaisons that create new and promising interdisciplinary opportunities, across departments and research centres at Chalmers and provide a strategic contact point for our stakeholders. By gathering competencies from many disciplines and having a close dialogue with society and industry, we deliver solutions to lead the change. Together, we build a strong community by establishing dialogues, supporting innovative initiatives, and building partnerships.

Strategic partnerships

Energy Area of Advance is hosting four of Chalmers’ strategic partnerships. The partnerships promote long-standing collaborations between Chalmers, industry, and organisations, through research, competence provisioning, technology development and innovation. As the partnerships entail collaboration between top level managements, the partners can address joint priorities and form common agendas.
