The Testbed is a facility designed to support the development and testing of quantum algorithms and hardware. A crucial resource for advancing quantum technology, providing essential infrastructure and support to companies and researchers in Sweden.

The Testbed is offering four services:

The Testbed is accessible to both Swedish industry and academia. External users can book time to utilize the Testbed’s resources. The Testbed is preparing for a commercial launch of its hardware lab in Q1 2025. In preparation, it collaborates closely with future customers, conducting test runs and understanding their specific needs.

Services

  • Quantum hardware lab
Users of the hardware testbed are given access to a fully equipped Bluefors LD250sl cryostat, capable of reaching below 0.01 Kelvin and achieving ultra-high vacuum. The hardware testbed also comes equipped with a range of high-end measurement equipment. The hardware Testbed is running the third successful measurement project with external companies today.
  • WACQT quantum computer
To complement our hardware testbed, the WACQT testbed offers our Chalmers-made quantum processor (QPU). Having our own local quantum computer allows users a higher-level control over all parts of the quantum computer. For those not needing or wanting full control of every aspect of the quantum computer, we also offer access to IBM’s 100+ qubit processors, probably the most powerful quantum computers in the world. The WACQT quantum computer is set to launch in 2025.
  • Quantum helpdesk
Whether you are new to quantum technology or a seasoned quantum veteran, Chalmers Next Labs’ can help you with any questions you might have. Our experts are available to discuss the potential of quantum computing in your field, and how we can help you achieve your quantum vision.
  • IBM Quantum client hub
This offering provides WACQT and their partners with cloud access to world-class quantum computers, in support of WACQT’s goal of giving a significant boost to quantum algorithm development. Both Quantum helpdesk and the IBM quantum client hub have been operational since March 2023.
