Chalmers MCR, in partnership with Sandvik Coromant, offers university-accredited professional education on machining and grinding technology – whether at Chalmers, at your company’s facilities or in a live virtual format.
Engineers, process planners and machine operators take part in this training to gain basic and advanced knowledge in various subject areas. Course participants learn from Chalmers faculty and external experts who are leaders in their fields, from materials science to manufacturing engineering. The courses combine lectures and laboratory exercises.
The MCR Professional Education runs an extensive short course programme throughout the year in an online, in-person or hybrid format:
- (LUP007) Metal Cutting (basic course, 4.5 credits)
- (LUP665) Metal Cutting Processes (advanced course, 4.5 credits)
- (IMS030) Metal Cutting Finishing Methods (3.5 credits)
More information and sign-up can be found on Chalmers Continuing professional education.
These courses, which grant university credits, combine the latest research findings with insights and case studies from industry. Chalmers MCR also organizes seminars and workshops via two of our competence networks. Moreover, every autumn we organize an annual seminar in collaboration with KTH DMMS.
