Organisation

Chalmers tekniska högskola AB is a Foundation University that runs Chalmers University of Technology’s academic education, research and utilisation activity. The thirteen departments and shared Operations Support function together constitute Chalmers’ line organisation. Complementing the departments are other organisational elements – Areas of Advance and educational areas – whose purpose is to bring together expertise and integrate research, education and utilisation on an interdepartmental basis.

Foundation

Chalmers is a foundation university with the board of the Chalmers University of Technology Foundation as its supreme decision-making body. Included in the Chalmers Foundation group are the subsidiary companies:

Chalmers Holding AB.

Chalmers Holding AB has the subsidiaries Chalmers Ventures AB, Chalmersfastigheter AB and Chalmers Next Labs AB.
The Chalmers Foundation is also a partner in the technology parks Lindholmen Science Park, Johanneberg Science Park and Sahlgrenska Science Park as well as in SEEL Swedish Electric Transport Laboratory AB.

Climate strategy and framework

Chalmers’ climate strategy is based on the Climate Framework for Swedish Higher Education and breaks down into the seven sub-areas where we have the greatest ability to have real impact and make a difference. We have drawn up strategies and objectives for each sub-area corresponding to the UN’s global sustainability goals and Agenda 2030.

Chalmers has been a private university since 1994, with a foundation as the controlling enterprise. The University has, compared to other institutions for higher education in Sweden, a unique closeness to industry and society with opportunities to create joint ventures with external partners.&nbsp;

Safe at Chalmers

Safe at Chalmers is where you as an student can learn more about what harassment and sexual harassment are, and report if you have experienced unwanted behavior or witnessed it.
Whether you are a student or a visitor, you should feel safe on our campuses. We are each other’s study and work environment and together we are responsible for creating a higher education institution that we both are proud of and feel safe in. Our campuses should be free from harassment and discrimination. All of us need to contribute to make that happen.
