Alumni breakfast mingle

Evolutionary Drives Triumph Over Moral Principles When It Comes to Our Laundry Habits Despite the negative environmental impact, we are doing laundry more than ever. But why are we so reluctant to change our habits? According to Erik Klint, PhD in Technology Management and Economics, the answer lies in an evolutionarily rooted fear – namely, the fear of being perceived as unhygienic or “disgusting” with dirty clothes. In his dissertation, Erik has examined our laundry habits from a psychological perspective and will share his fascinating findings at our next networking breakfast. Doors open at 7:30 and at 07:45–08:00 Erik Svedberg will give a short presentation.   Start your day right! Drop by, enjoy a delicious breakfast sandwich, and expand your network! This spring, we are hosting monthly breakfast meetups where a researcher shares insights from their work, followed by networking in a relaxed atmosphere. The venue is Wijkanders, open from 07:30–09:00. It’s drop-in, and the first 20 guests will receive a free breakfast, so be sure to arrive early!

Nominate Alumni of the Year

Alumni of the Year is an award established in 2024 to honor distinguished alumni and their significant contributions. The award is presented during Chalmers Annual Academic Ceremony on November 5 in two categories: For a Better World and Rising Star. You can nominate candidates for this year’s award in both categories until May 31. All nominations will be reviewed, and the winners will be selected by a jury chaired by the Deputy President for Leadership and Equality, Maria Elmquist.

Some people I meet say they went to university. But people from Chalmers always say, 'I went to Chalmers.' There’s a lot of pride in that.
